Hello, I’m Wendy
and I’m the face behind Healthy Clean and Green.

I’m passionate about making better choices, living a healthier, cleaner and greener life (within reason!) and providing a safer, healthier environment for my family and for the animals who share our planet.

Every single choice we make, whether we realise it or not, impacts on the environment and those around us in some way. “I believe that together, we really do have the power to make the world a happier and healthier place. And I believe that everyone doing a little; ends up helping a lot.”

Let me say, I’m far from an extremist! (I assure you, I use that word in the nicest possible way..) Horses are better for the environment than cars, yet, even though I love horses, I’m not about to sell my car and start getting around town in a horse and cart. As a wife, mum of three, friend and business owner I have the same time and budget constraints as a lot of other people; so while I am always on the look out for ‘better’, it has to be affordable and convenient too, which is why I don’t currently make my own toothpaste or laundry detergent – although I totally take my hat off to those who do!

I created Healthy Clean and Green to share with you what I’ve learnt (the research behind finding a better choice can be time-consuming and frustrating!) share information on the products that I have decided to use and to hopefully inspire and guide you in making small and affordable changes in your everyday life that will have a big impact on your home, your health and your environment without drastically affecting your lifestyle or your budget.

I’ve ridden a bicycle from Townsville to Cairns, climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa, walked on fire twice, ridden a camel, shaved my head, been white water rafting and have a green belt in Taekwondo. I love doing jigsaw puzzles, socialising and travelling.

When I turned 40 in January 2016, I realised that, like a fine wine, I just keep getting better with age. I’ve never been more confident or comfortable with who I am than right now. My ever supportive husband and I have been together for almost 17 years and with our two sons and one daughter, live in the small town of Walkerston, just outside of Mackay in Queensland.

I hope you decide to join us on our journey.
I will leave you with one of my favourite quotes – it’s one that I try and live by.

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better… DO BETTER.”
